2017 NFL Draft: Kansas City Chiefs attend Lamar University pro day

The Kansas City Chiefs were among 10 NFL teams in Beaumont, Texas checking out Lamar University’s pro day.

Lamar University had a number of NFL hopefuls working out through various drills in the hopes of impressing pro scouts from 10 teams on Thursday. The Kansas City Chiefs were one such team doing their homework before the 2017 NFL Draft in a few weeks. Per KMBT:

"The 10 NFL franchises represented Thursday were the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs."

The Cardinals boast a lot of All-American players or impressive talents hoping to play at the next level, but NFL.com only has profiles on two of those players: cornerback Brendan Langley and center Bret Treadway. Both players have NFL ready talent and should be drafted. The former was a former Georgia recruit before transferring for more playing time. The latter earns raves for his athleticism inside, although doubts persist about his size.

Overall the pro day likely yielded several names to check for the Chiefs as undrafted free agents or options in the later rounds, should they zero in on a player they really like.
